TechCommons Hacks V2: Hacks to Inspire is a student-led hackathon bringing together young innovators to turn ideas into meaningful technology. Participants will identify real-world problems, design creative solutions, and build working projects while developing their skills in programming, design, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Whether you are an experienced coder or building your first project, TechCommons Hacks V2 is an opportunity to experiment, learn, and create alongside other students. You do not need to arrive with the perfect idea. You just need to be ready to build one.

Requirements

What to Build

Build a technology-based project that addresses a real problem or creates a meaningful opportunity. Your project can be a website, app, game, AI tool, data project, educational platform, or another creative use of technology.

There is no single required theme. We encourage projects that are original, useful, and designed with a clear purpose. Projects should be developed during the hackathon.

What to Submit

Your final submission should include:

Project name and short description
Working prototype or demonstration of your project
Source code, such as a GitHub repository
2–3 minute demo video showing your project in action
Project description explaining the problem, your solution, how you built it, and its potential impact
Team member names (as they would like on their certificates) and each member’s contribution
